Ten Minutes, a previously unpublished poem from the CANNED Working class verse about being out of work, bumped, booted, laid-off, let go, sacked, fired and down-sized collection has been named Honorable Mention in the 2009 Allen Ginsberg Awards contest. It will be published in the Allen Ginsberg Awards listing in The Paterson Literary Review PLR #39 edition.
More than 5,000 entries were submitted to this contest.
Winners of the will be honored at the Poetry Center in Paterson, N.J., on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009.
